GREENONE® is a biodegradable fiber that holds the same properties as virgin polyester. It is capable of speeding up polyester decomposition under an anaerobic environment from 450 years to 3-4 years. GREENONE is also tested by ASTM E1963 to ensure it is non-toxic to our plant.
To the Used Garment that Eventually End Up in Landfill
About 99% of used garments eventually go to landfill after 3 cycles. Usually what happens is the discarded polyester garments sit in the landfill for at least 450 years before it completely decompose. During the decomposition, greenhouse gases like methane is released into the air.
